Terms of Service

NovaEnglish is an AI-powered English language proficiency assessment platform that provides CEFR-aligned (A1–C2) level estimation through adaptive multiple-choice questions, reading comprehension, and writing evaluation.

Important: NovaEnglish is a placement assessment tool, not an official language certification. Results should be used for personal guidance only. For formal certification, we recommend IELTS, TOEFL, or Cambridge English examinations.

• →You must be at least 13 years of age to use NovaEnglish. If you are under 16 (or the digital consent age in your country), you must have verifiable parental or guardian consent.
• →You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• →You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• →One person may not maintain more than one free account.

You agree not to:

• ✕Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate interactions with the platform
• ✕Submit assessment responses on behalf of another person to misrepresent their level
• ✕Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• ✕Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data
• ✕Publish, reproduce, or commercialise our assessment questions or AI feedback without permission
• ✕Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the platform or its underlying infrastructure

All content on NovaEnglish — including assessment questions, passages, scoring algorithms, AI prompts, design, and code — is owned by or licensed to Bradnova Technologies Ltd and protected by copyright and intellectual property law.

Your personal assessment results and AI feedback generated for you are yours. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and download your own results for personal use.

Our writing evaluation and personalised feedback is generated by an AI language model (Anthropic Claude). While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated feedback may occasionally contain errors or be inconsistent with human expert assessment. Results are provided “as-is” for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee that CEFR level estimates are identical to those that would be issued by official certification bodies.

We aim to keep NovaEnglish available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or restrict the service for maintenance, security updates, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime where possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bradnova Technologies Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) NovaEnglish, including reliance on assessment results for employment, immigration, or academic purposes. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed EUR 50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

You may delete your account at any time via your Privacy Center. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 7 days (grace period) before being permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer protection law.

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of NovaEnglish after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
